Publication Ethics

The Bulletin of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacy is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing and follows the principles and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Ethical conduct is essential to ensuring the credibility, integrity, and transparency of the scientific record.

All submitted manuscripts must represent original research and must not be under consideration or previously published elsewhere. Authors are required to ensure the accuracy of their data, methods, and conclusions. Any form of plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, or data falsification is considered unethical and will result in appropriate corrective action in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Research involving human participants or animals must comply with internationally recognized ethical standards. Authors must provide evidence of approval from an appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board and confirm that informed consent was obtained where applicable. Studies should be conducted with respect for participant confidentiality and welfare.

Authorship should accurately reflect individuals who have made significant contributions to the research, in accordance with ICMJE authorship criteria. All authors must disclose potential conflicts of interest, funding sources, or financial relationships that could influence the research or its interpretation. Transparency in authorship and disclosure is essential to maintaining trust in the publication process.

Editors and reviewers are expected to perform their duties in a fair, objective, and confidential manner. Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit and relevance to the journal’s scope. In cases of suspected ethical misconduct, the journal will investigate thoroughly and may issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern to preserve the integrity of the academic record.
